This Privacy Policy explains how Aimee Academy ("we," "our," or "us") handles information when you visit aimeestudio.info and use the tools hosted on it, including the Amazon Book → Pinterest tool (/pinterest). We are committed to keeping your data minimal and your experience transparent.

              Short version: We do not sell your personal data. We do not run ads.
              The main website collects no personal information. The Pinterest tool processes

1. Information We Collect

Main website (aimeestudio.info)

The main website is an informational site showcasing books published by Aimee Snow. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personal information through this site. Standard server access logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamp) may be retained by our hosting provider (Netlify) for security and performance purposes. We do not use these logs for marketing or profiling.

Amazon Book → Pinterest Tool (/pinterest)

When you use this tool, you voluntarily provide:

Amazon book URL — used solely to fetch publicly available book information from Amazon.com on your behalf.
Google Gemini API key (optional, if not pre-configured) — used to call Google's Gemini API to generate text analysis and images. Your key is never logged or stored on our servers. If you choose to save it in your browser, it is stored locally on your device only (via localStorage).

We do not retain the URLs you submit, the book data fetched, or the images generated. All processing is ephemeral — once your session ends, nothing is stored server-side.

2. How We Use Information

We use information you provide only to fulfill your immediate request:

Fetch publicly available book information from Amazon.com and Google Books API
Send content to Google Gemini API to generate Pinterest pin analysis and images
Return results to your browser

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any secondary purpose.

3. Third-Party Services

This tool interacts with the following third-party services on your behalf:

Amazon.com — when you submit an Amazon book URL, our server fetches the corresponding public product page. Amazon's own Privacy Noticea> governs their data practices.
Google Books API — used as a fallback data source (free, unauthenticated). Governed by Google's Privacy Policya>.
Google Gemini APIstrong> — book descriptions and image-generation prompts are sent to Google's Gemini API to produce analysis and images. This is governed by Google's Generative AI Termsa> and Privacy Policya>. If you provide your own API key, you are subject to your own Google AI Studio agreement.
Netlify — our website hosting provider. Netlify may collect access logs. See Netlify's Privacy Policya>.
Vercel — the Pinterest tool backend is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect request logs. See Vercel's Privacy Policya>.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

The main website does not use cookies for tracking or analytics.

The Pinterest tool uses your browser's localStorage — a client-side storage mechanism — to optionally remember your Gemini API key between sessions. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings (Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Site data).

5. Children's Privacy

While our books are written for children ages 6–12, this website and its tools are intended for use by adults (parents, educators, authors, and marketers). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this site, please contact us at the email below and we will promptly delete it.

6. Data Retention

We do not store personal data on our servers beyond what is necessary to serve each request. Server access logs (maintained by Netlify and Vercel) are typically retained for up to 30 days per those providers' standard practices. API keys and book URLs you enter are never written to any database or log file by us.

7. Your Rights

Because we do not maintain a database of your personal information, there is typically nothing to access, correct, or delete on our end. If you have concerns, you are welcome to contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA respectively. Given that we collect no personal data, these rights are fulfilled by design. For questions, contact us below.

8. Security

We use HTTPS on all pages. API keys you enter are transmitted securely and are never logged by our application. We recommend using API keys with minimal required permissions and rotating them periodically.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
